Ice Castle and Big Announcement

This is my final layout for this month for Scraputante.com.  This February Vintage Kit was such a blast to work with!  There is so many great items in these kits and I still have some scraps to use later on!!  The best thing about these kits is that you don't have to commit! You can buy this month, and if next month doesn't tickle your fancy, you can skip it (although I don't see how that could happen)!!

This is a photo we took in Disney when we were there in November.  It was all decorated for Christmas and just absolutely gorgeous!!!

For this layout I used the fabulous Authentique and Teresa Collins Papers from the kit.  I punched the edges of a couple of the pages.  I used a Prima Flower from the main kit and the rose lace.  The Leaky Shed Chipboard is part of the Chipboard add on!!  I covered it in gesso and then colored it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze and Silver Glimmer Mist.  Thank you so much for looking!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for a big announcement!!

Heart Box Altered Project

This is design team work I did for Scraputante.com.  This is their altered project kit for February!! I had such a fabulous time with this kit!! Here is the top outside of the box!

The first thing I did to the Maya Road Heart box was to glimmer mist it with Tattered Angels Scarlet Glimmer Mist.  I took the papers from the kit and punched out little scraps with a Postage Stamp punch. I layered the punch outs haphazardly around the border of the box.  Also the "Cherish" was included in the kit. I layered it with Gesso and then misted it with Tattered Angels Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist.  The next thing I did was cluster the roses and pin from the kit in the upper left corner.  Here is a close up of the flower cluster and pin and the Cherished Chipboard:

Here is a close up of the side of the box.  I placed the lace from the kit around the side of the top of the heart box.  For the bottom of the box, I cut 3/4" squares out of the different pattern papers and applied them in a quilt like pattern around the entire outside of the bottom of the box.

When you take the lid off of the box this is what it looks like:

And here is a closeup of the inside of the box:

Inside the box I cut some of the beautiful Authentique papers to fit in the bottom and then I created 2 mats for my photos.  I chose to include 2 of my favorite photos from our wedding.. They are the photos of us exchanging our rings.  I took a few more of the flowers from the kit and glued them to the bottom of the heart.  The stamp was  one that I had in my stash from Technique Tuesday.  I distressed the edge of the pp with the stamp on it with Vintage Pink Distress Ink from Tim Holtz.

Thank you for visiting my gallery and I hope you enjoyed this project.  You can get this amazing kit at Scraputante.com!! Reveal Day At Scraputante

Hello All,

Today is Reveal Day over at Scraputante.com.  I had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous February Vintage Kit!  And wowsa is it gorgeous!  It is full of beautiful Authentique papers, Teresa Collins Papers, plus there is a gorgeous Dusty Attic Add on, and Flowers and Bling add on...You really need to head over to Scraputante for all the details on this kit as well as their adorable Cute Kit!

This first kit is made with gorgeous Authentique papers, a couple of Martha Stewart punches, some gorgeous Websters Pages Feather Flowers and a beautiful pin, and some Prima bling.  The "buttons" on the left side of the photo are from the Authentique Die cuts, and I simply covered them with Tim Holtz Rock Candy Crackle Paint.

The next layout is of my favorite photo from our wedding.  I used some Authentique papers, some Teresa Collins Paper, the doilie from the kit, some black card stock and some of the Bling included in the kit.  The Flourish is part of the Dusty Attic Add on.  I misted the doilie using some Glimmer Mist which is also available at Scraputante.

I made the large grey and pink flower using an EK Success rolling flower punch and I am so happy with how it came out! Was my first time using it and I'm glad I did.

The final layout for today is of my aunts wedding in 1978ish.  I took Teresa Collins Timeless Flocked paper and masked the flourish on the left side and used Glimmer Mist Silver.  Then I took some of the Authentique paper and matted the photo and used water distressing to create the distressed look.  I also matted the paper with a sheet from Teresa Collins Timeless collection.  The flourish above the photo is part of the Dusty Attic Add on which is SOOO Worth it...I applied Gesso to give it some texture and then misted it with  Silver Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Tattered Angels Chalkboard bubble gum mist.  That large white flower is from Prima and is also part of the Flowers and Bling add on.

Thank you so much for looking and stay tuned for an altered project I worked on for February.  It is a beautiful Maya road Heart Box....Those photos will be coming shortly!

Once Upon a Time

This is a layout I did for a challenge over at cafemom.com.  I belong to a small group of wonderful scrappy ladies.  There are 6 challenges posted each week and a few monthly challenges.  You have all month to complete the challenge, so it makes life a little easier.  Not so strict deadlines!! You also can pick and choose which challenges you want to complete.

Here is the layout I came up with for this particular challenge:

This is a picture of me standing in front of the castle at Disney World.  I called this layout "Once Upon a Time" because every girls fairy tale begins with a castle.  I pulled the colors from the top of the castle.  I cut the doilie circle out with my Pazzle as well as the picket fence.  I then used a Dusty Attic long stem flower and glued some flowers onto it.  The blue flowers were originally white.  I used Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Stain to color them. The background was misted using Lindy Stamps Gang Moon Spritz.

Thanks for looking!  Hope everyone has a great week!

Villari Family Layout

I got back in my scrap room for a bit this evening...and had such an amazing time scrapping this photo.  I was having some trouble with my mojo, but it quickly came back to me.

For this layout I used Teresa Collins Mr and Mrs Line, and some In Stitch'z Templates that I purchased from Scraputante.com.  Then I simply added some bling and flowers I had in my stash.  I tried to keep this layout simple because this photo is so amazing all by itself.  This is my husbands dads side of the family (sister, brother in law, brother, hubby, me, nephew, dad, and stepmom).  I love the fact that we all got together for a family photo.

Here is a close up of the circle, where you can see the stitching and bling close up:

And here is a closeup of the stitching on the side:

Thank you for looking and I hope you all have a great week ahead!
