The Girls Layout and A Giveaway!

I managed to squeak out a layout with a house full of people the last few days.  We have been pretty busy entertaining this weekend.  Last night we had a Trivia Night Fundraiser for our local Business Association.  It was a great time, and we had such an awesome night.  Dom and I won the Grand Door Prize....A BRAND NEW $400 Grill!!! woo hoo...on top of that our team came in second and we won $100 (to split between 8 people lol)....Doms BFF from Grad school has been visiting since Thursday and it was fantastic to see him.  I guess it is a good thing they slept late because I got to do some creating!!

Here is a layout I did of me and my bridesmaids.  I used Teresa Collins Freestyle line that I got from Scraputante.com's store.  These papers combine 2 colors that i would NEVER think to put together....Orange and Pink.  But I actually love the way this one turned out. Here is what I came up with:

I first distressed and inked the background pattern paper.  I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye and Rusty Hinge Distress ink to get the color I wanted. Then I cut the circle out of the next layer and water distressed.  Next I took Tim Holtz Wild Honey Distress stain to ink the inside of the circle.  For the flowers I used several different Distress Stickles to give them some dimension and color.  Here are some closeups of the flowers:

The flower in the right hand corner I made using a Spellbinders Donna Salazar Carnation Die and more of the awesome papers from the Teresa Collins line.

Now....don't forget the giveaway I am doing here at my blog!  I am giving away a $10 gift certificate to Scraputante.com to one lucky person.  Its very easy to win.  All you have to do is be a follower of this blog, then become a follower of Scraputante's Blog, (theres a great new challenge posted over there too), come back over here and leave me a comment.  Tell me a little about your scrapping style, or anything you feel you want to tell me!  Thats ALL!! Scraputante's Ultimate Black and White Kit

This was not a very productive scrappy weekend for me, but I did get this layout done featuring the AMAZING Ultimate Black and White kit from Scraputante. This kit features the awesome Bo Bunny Enchanted line as well as Teresa Collins' Timeless papers.

Here is what I came up with:

I used some red paper from GCD Studios that I have had in my stash forever to mat the photo.  The black and white velvet flowers came in the kit, as well as large gem that is part of  the Bo Bunny trinkets.   The red flowers were created using white flowers I had in my stash that I misted with Tattered Angels Candy Apple Red Mist.  The tag was made using a sticker from the kit and some small white flowers I had left over from my January Vintage kit from Scraputante.  I used a template to mist the brick wall  on the left using Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and a stencil from The Crafters Workshop.

Here is a close up of the flowers:

Thanks for looking.  Head on over to Scraputante and check out what is new and exciting in their store! New stock is coming in all of the time!

Ice Castle and Big Announcement

This is my final layout for this month for Scraputante.com.  This February Vintage Kit was such a blast to work with!  There is so many great items in these kits and I still have some scraps to use later on!!  The best thing about these kits is that you don't have to commit! You can buy this month, and if next month doesn't tickle your fancy, you can skip it (although I don't see how that could happen)!!

This is a photo we took in Disney when we were there in November.  It was all decorated for Christmas and just absolutely gorgeous!!!

For this layout I used the fabulous Authentique and Teresa Collins Papers from the kit.  I punched the edges of a couple of the pages.  I used a Prima Flower from the main kit and the rose lace.  The Leaky Shed Chipboard is part of the Chipboard add on!!  I covered it in gesso and then colored it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze and Silver Glimmer Mist.  Thank you so much for looking!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for a big announcement!!

Reveal Day At Scraputante

Hello All,

Today is Reveal Day over at Scraputante.com.  I had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous February Vintage Kit!  And wowsa is it gorgeous!  It is full of beautiful Authentique papers, Teresa Collins Papers, plus there is a gorgeous Dusty Attic Add on, and Flowers and Bling add on...You really need to head over to Scraputante for all the details on this kit as well as their adorable Cute Kit!

This first kit is made with gorgeous Authentique papers, a couple of Martha Stewart punches, some gorgeous Websters Pages Feather Flowers and a beautiful pin, and some Prima bling.  The "buttons" on the left side of the photo are from the Authentique Die cuts, and I simply covered them with Tim Holtz Rock Candy Crackle Paint.

The next layout is of my favorite photo from our wedding.  I used some Authentique papers, some Teresa Collins Paper, the doilie from the kit, some black card stock and some of the Bling included in the kit.  The Flourish is part of the Dusty Attic Add on.  I misted the doilie using some Glimmer Mist which is also available at Scraputante.

I made the large grey and pink flower using an EK Success rolling flower punch and I am so happy with how it came out! Was my first time using it and I'm glad I did.

The final layout for today is of my aunts wedding in 1978ish.  I took Teresa Collins Timeless Flocked paper and masked the flourish on the left side and used Glimmer Mist Silver.  Then I took some of the Authentique paper and matted the photo and used water distressing to create the distressed look.  I also matted the paper with a sheet from Teresa Collins Timeless collection.  The flourish above the photo is part of the Dusty Attic Add on which is SOOO Worth it...I applied Gesso to give it some texture and then misted it with  Silver Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Tattered Angels Chalkboard bubble gum mist.  That large white flower is from Prima and is also part of the Flowers and Bling add on.

Thank you so much for looking and stay tuned for an altered project I worked on for February.  It is a beautiful Maya road Heart Box....Those photos will be coming shortly!

Thanks for the visit and don't forget you can get FREE SHIPPING at Scraputante.  Use the code COURTNEYFREESHIP!  Kits are limited so call and get your kit today!

Villari Family Layout

I got back in my scrap room for a bit this evening...and had such an amazing time scrapping this photo.  I was having some trouble with my mojo, but it quickly came back to me.

For this layout I used Teresa Collins Mr and Mrs Line, and some In Stitch'z Templates that I purchased from Scraputante.com.  Then I simply added some bling and flowers I had in my stash.  I tried to keep this layout simple because this photo is so amazing all by itself.  This is my husbands dads side of the family (sister, brother in law, brother, hubby, me, nephew, dad, and stepmom).  I love the fact that we all got together for a family photo.

Here is a close up of the circle, where you can see the stitching and bling close up:

And here is a closeup of the stitching on the side:

Thank you for looking and I hope you all have a great week ahead!
