The Girls Layout and A Giveaway!

I managed to squeak out a layout with a house full of people the last few days.  We have been pretty busy entertaining this weekend.  Last night we had a Trivia Night Fundraiser for our local Business Association.  It was a great time, and we had such an awesome night.  Dom and I won the Grand Door Prize....A BRAND NEW $400 Grill!!! woo hoo...on top of that our team came in second and we won $100 (to split between 8 people lol)....Doms BFF from Grad school has been visiting since Thursday and it was fantastic to see him.  I guess it is a good thing they slept late because I got to do some creating!!

Here is a layout I did of me and my bridesmaids.  I used Teresa Collins Freestyle line that I got from's store.  These papers combine 2 colors that i would NEVER think to put together....Orange and Pink.  But I actually love the way this one turned out. Here is what I came up with:

I first distressed and inked the background pattern paper.  I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye and Rusty Hinge Distress ink to get the color I wanted. Then I cut the circle out of the next layer and water distressed.  Next I took Tim Holtz Wild Honey Distress stain to ink the inside of the circle.  For the flowers I used several different Distress Stickles to give them some dimension and color.  Here are some closeups of the flowers:

The flower in the right hand corner I made using a Spellbinders Donna Salazar Carnation Die and more of the awesome papers from the Teresa Collins line.

Now....don't forget the giveaway I am doing here at my blog!  I am giving away a $10 gift certificate to to one lucky person.  Its very easy to win.  All you have to do is be a follower of this blog, then become a follower of Scraputante's Blog, (theres a great new challenge posted over there too), come back over here and leave me a comment.  Tell me a little about your scrapping style, or anything you feel you want to tell me!  Thats ALL!! The contest will run through Midnight on Wednesday February 29th.  I will pick one lucky winner via Randomizer on Thursday March 1st.

March 5th is reveal day for the March Kits...make sure you head on back over. The March Kit is my favorite so far...its absolutely GORGEOUS.
