Reveal Day At Scraputante

Hello All,

Today is Reveal Day over at Scraputante.com.  I had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous February Vintage Kit!  And wowsa is it gorgeous!  It is full of beautiful Authentique papers, Teresa Collins Papers, plus there is a gorgeous Dusty Attic Add on, and Flowers and Bling add on...You really need to head over to Scraputante for all the details on this kit as well as their adorable Cute Kit!

This first kit is made with gorgeous Authentique papers, a couple of Martha Stewart punches, some gorgeous Websters Pages Feather Flowers and a beautiful pin, and some Prima bling.  The "buttons" on the left side of the photo are from the Authentique Die cuts, and I simply covered them with Tim Holtz Rock Candy Crackle Paint.

The next layout is of my favorite photo from our wedding.  I used some Authentique papers, some Teresa Collins Paper, the doilie from the kit, some black card stock and some of the Bling included in the kit.  The Flourish is part of the Dusty Attic Add on.  I misted the doilie using some Glimmer Mist which is also available at Scraputante.

I made the large grey and pink flower using an EK Success rolling flower punch and I am so happy with how it came out! Was my first time using it and I'm glad I did.

The final layout for today is of my aunts wedding in 1978ish.  I took Teresa Collins Timeless Flocked paper and masked the flourish on the left side and used Glimmer Mist Silver.  Then I took some of the Authentique paper and matted the photo and used water distressing to create the distressed look.  I also matted the paper with a sheet from Teresa Collins Timeless collection.  The flourish above the photo is part of the Dusty Attic Add on which is SOOO Worth it...I applied Gesso to give it some texture and then misted it with  Silver Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and Tattered Angels Chalkboard bubble gum mist.  That large white flower is from Prima and is also part of the Flowers and Bling add on.

Thank you so much for looking and stay tuned for an altered project I worked on for February.  It is a beautiful Maya road Heart Box....Those photos will be coming shortly!

Once Upon a Time

This is a layout I did for a challenge over at cafemom.com.  I belong to a small group of wonderful scrappy ladies.  There are 6 challenges posted each week and a few monthly challenges.  You have all month to complete the challenge, so it makes life a little easier.  Not so strict deadlines!! You also can pick and choose which challenges you want to complete.

Here is the layout I came up with for this particular challenge:

This is a picture of me standing in front of the castle at Disney World.  I called this layout "Once Upon a Time" because every girls fairy tale begins with a castle.  I pulled the colors from the top of the castle.  I cut the doilie circle out with my Pazzle as well as the picket fence.  I then used a Dusty Attic long stem flower and glued some flowers onto it.  The blue flowers were originally white.  I used Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Stain to color them. The background was misted using Lindy Stamps Gang Moon Spritz.

Thanks for looking!  Hope everyone has a great week!

Villari Family Layout

I got back in my scrap room for a bit this evening...and had such an amazing time scrapping this photo.  I was having some trouble with my mojo, but it quickly came back to me.

For this layout I used Teresa Collins Mr and Mrs Line, and some In Stitch'z Templates that I purchased from Scraputante.com.  Then I simply added some bling and flowers I had in my stash.  I tried to keep this layout simple because this photo is so amazing all by itself.  This is my husbands dads side of the family (sister, brother in law, brother, hubby, me, nephew, dad, and stepmom).  I love the fact that we all got together for a family photo.

Here is a close up of the circle, where you can see the stitching and bling close up:

And here is a closeup of the stitching on the side:

Thank you for looking and I hope you all have a great week ahead!

Acrylic Mini Album

Happy Sunday.  I am so excited to bring you my last design team project for this, my inaugural  month for Scraputante.com.  This is the Maya Road acrylic House Mini Accordian Album.  and Fancy Pants Winterland paper kit.  Oh what fun this was to work with.  Today I am giving you close ups on the front.  Tomorrow, I hope to post photos of the back and of the album as a whole (its still drying LOL).

Here is the front cover:

I used the paper that had a very pale snowman and used gesso to bring it out and make it pop.  Then I used Viva Pearl Pens to make the eyes, mouth, buttons and nose.  The window is created using Dusty Attic, covered it in gesso, and then misted it using Glimmer Mist Vintage Pink.  I then reapplied gesso in the corners and used Star Dust Stickles to make them sparkle.  The roof ridge, I used gesso on a sponge to create the snowy look, and then placed Diamond Stickles along the edge to give more sparkle.  When you open the album, this is the inside cover:

Again, just more of the Fancy Pants beautiful Winterland Papers and cotton to create the snow.  On this side, I also used Adirondack Alcohol ink in Latte and Silver along the edges.

The second house of the album looks like this:

Just enough space for those winter snow photos.  Here I applied gesso to the ridge of the roof, and used stickles to create what looks like icicles falling off the roof.

Here is the next page:

More Beautiful Fancy Pants Winterland papers and I just used stickles to create the snow on the roof of this house.

Here is the next one:

This paper was one of my favorites in this paper pack.  I used just a little gesso and glitter to create the snow on the ground, as well as at the peak of the roof. It adds a subtle touch of bling.

And the next one:

This house, I decided to cover the entire house with this paper, and just add two small blocks for photos.  I also used an EK Success Punch to create the snow on the roof of this house.

Here is the last house.

This roof line I used Ranger Pefect Medium and a stamp and used just glitter to create the beautiful ridge line of this house.  I also used Viva Pearl pens to create the bling coming down the side of the mitten paper.

This project was so much fun to create!  I can't wait for the entire thing to dry so I can take complete photos!! Thank you for looking and go ahead and buy this kit over at Scraputante.com so you can create your own gorgeous album!!! They have such amazing supplies over there!

Design Team work for Scraputante

Well the New Year is almost upon us.  And I am so proud to announce that I have made the Design Team for Scraputante.com.  Scraputante.com is a new scrapbooking site with many supplies and monthly Kits available.  They have several kits each month, including a vintage kit, a traditional kit, a card kit, and a project kit.  Scraputante.com offers many products that are not available locally.

Scraputante.com will open on January 1, 2012 and you will be able to begin placing orders then!  If their kits are any indication, you will not be let down.  I had the pleasure of working with their vintage kit for the month of January.

Scraputante.com is the first design team I have been accepted on, and I am so excited and proud to be a part of this team.  January's kit is absolutely amazing and so versatile.  Below are 3 layouts and 1 card I created using the January Vintage Kit.  I still have enough supplies for at least one more layout and probably several cards.

I will be posting close ups and details on these layouts throughout the week!  Thank you for visiting my blog.  I wish each and every one of you a happy new year and here is to a healthy, happy, and prosperous 2012 to all of you!
